LIGHT! REFRESHING! September 21, 2003 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I suppose I will like any movie that Dan Aykroyd plays in, that's how good I think he is as an actor. Belder Conehead and his wife crash on planet earth while on a mission of conquest. While waiting to be rescued they begin to adapt to our lifestyle and have a child. Unfortunately they are being chased by the government who knows something is not quite right with this family. After they are rescued and taken back to their planet, Belder is told to come back and destroy planet earth. Now he has a choice and this is where the heart of the movie is. I think this movie was good. I didn't like the part where they mocked the Bible and really didn't think they had to put that in, but besides that it was entertaining and Dan Aykroyd stole the show as usual.
Rock on Coneheads! July 21, 2004 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This movie was so great! I loved it so much! I love the acts on SNL that they do so I knew I had to rent the movie. I loved this movie so much that I think I'm going to have to buy it! The songs they used on the movie were very good. The Coneheads is a non stop laughing movie. It is great for all ages! I love it!
Awesome with one disappointment! November 26, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I could watch this movie over and over. It has the humor most movies don't have today. There was only one problem. There are parts in the original movie theatre version that are not on the tape. But I do highly recommend it!
Coneheads exactly what it should be. June 6, 2001 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The movie incarnation of the Coneheads is perfect. The characters are infused with personality that was not displayed in the original sketches I watched as a teenager. I really enjoyed sharing this movie with my own teenagers. Funny, touching, true to SNL roots but better. I'll be watching this for years.
2nd best SNL film! March 6, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For those who say SNL has never made a good movie, you're wrong. Coneheads is one of my all time favorites(along with Stuart Smalley Saves his Family and Wayne's World). Dan Ackroyd and all of the supporting cast are excellent. The direction and script are all top-notch and very fitting for the material. You know it's good when you can quote it constantly! So pick it up today, it's just a shame Paramount can't make a decent DVD release. Trailers are cool, but the public needs much more!
